Backend Java Developer - Greenfield Project

Xcede is exclusively partnering with a renowned client to build a new team for an innovative greenfield project. We are seeking skilled Java Engineers for backend roles to support our client's ambitious digital transformation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Agile Team Contribution: Become a vital member of a high-performing Agile team, helping shape and develop the company's future.
• Product Development: Design and build digital and technical products from the ground up.
• API Development: Create internal and external APIs as part of greenfield development projects.
• Automated Testing: Develop and maintain robust automated test suites for continuous deployment environments.
• Enterprise Transformation: Actively drive the company's Agile and digital transformation initiatives.
• Technical Improvement: Identify areas for technical product improvement and work on reducing technical debt.
• Process Optimization: Challenge and improve existing processes to enhance departmental efficiency and ways of working.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Agile Development: Proven experience in scaled Agile environments, collaborating with delivery partners and third-party applications.
• Java & Spring Boot: Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot.
• Microservices Architecture: Proficiency in designing and implementing microservices.
• Apache Kafka: Experience with Apache Kafka is highly desirable.
• Cloud-Based Systems: Skilled in microservices, database programming, event streaming, and queueing technologies within cloud environments.
• Effective Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Code Quality Practices: Familiarity with continuous integration, unit testing, and peer review processes.
• High-Traffic Systems: Experience in developing and scaling high-traffic websites or mission-critical systems.
