Position Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

Data Governance Leadership:

• Create and implement comprehensive data governance frameworks to ensure the integrity and accessibility of data assets.
• Develop and maintain data quality standards and classification guidelines to ensure consistency and accuracy across all data sources.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to cultivate a culture of data stewardship and adherence to governance best practices.

Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards governing data access and retention.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of data governance practices, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to develop strategies for data protection and business continuity.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Build and lead a high-performing team of data governance specialists, providing mentorship and professional development opportunities.
• Establish performance metrics and conduct evaluations to recognize achievements and motivate team members.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

• Drive initiatives to streamline processes and enhance data quality, leveraging analytics to identify opportunities for optimization and cost reduction.
• Foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the exploration of new technologies and methodologies in data governance.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• 10+ years in data governance with a proven track record of leadership.
• Strong understanding of data management principles, governance frameworks, and best practices.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in data integration tools and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data-related issues.

Leadership & Communication:

• Demonstrated experience in leading high-performing teams and collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Education:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data management, information systems, or a related field. Advanced certifications in data governance or privacy are advantageous.
