The Data Engineer will play a pivotal role in crafting a scalable and efficient data ecosystem that supports business objectives. Your technical prowess in data warehousing, data modeling, and data pipeline optimization will be critical to the success of our data-driven initiatives. You will work closely with data analysts, scientists, and cross-functional teams to ensure the data infrastructure is robust and conducive to innovative analytics and machine learning.
Key Responsibilities
● Design, develop, and manage a secure and scalable data platform that supports high-volume and high-velocity data
● Develop and provide best practices in tools and approaches to working with data
● Engineer and optimize data pipelines, ensuring clean and quality data is accessible to stakeholders and systems across the enterprise
● Implement effective data governance and compliance protocols to ensure data integrity and privacy
● Collaborate with data analysts and scientists to deploy analytics models and machine learning algorithms into production
● Monitor and support all data platform operations, including performance tuning and troubleshooting
● Continuously assess and integrate state-of-the-art data technologies and tools to maintain a competitive edge
● Document both high-level architecture and detailed technical specifications to guide future enhancements and integrations
● Act as a subject matter expert on data platform and data engineering practices within the organization
Qualifications
● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field
● At least 3 years of experience in a Data Engineering role, with a proven track record of building and scaling data platforms
● Expertise in SQL, python, IaaC, CI/CD, and DWH databases (e.g., BigQuery or Snowflake)
● Familiarity with data pipeline and workflow management tools such as dbt and Apache Airflow
● Knowledge of cloud computing services (GCP)
● Excellent problem-solving abilities and a knack for performance optimization
● Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
