Financial Systems Consultant

We are currently supporting a Software Management Company that has recently purchased multiple smaller software business. Due to these mergers and acquisitions, our customer is seeking Systems Consultants with experience of integrating financial systems/processes.

The project will be split into 6 core workflows, namely:

Workflow

1. Due Diligence

• Initial view into the business based on documents provided via the data room and responses to the IDDQ
• IDD meeting with the team to raise questions based on the IDDQ / data room discovery and build a high-level view of the company

2. Headline Integration Plan

• Integration Risks
• Integration Wins & Synergies

3. Discovery & process mapping

• Deep dive into systems & processes covering:

1. Customers
2. Suppliers
3. AR processes (billing)
4. AP processes (purchasing)
5. Banking
6. Expense and travel
7. Data access and availability
8. Acquisition specific processes

4. Detailed Integration Planning

• Finalised plan for integrating systems and finance function and include details of development work required for bespoke API integrations
• Structured format which is repeatable & presentable
• Present plan to the acquired team to build understanding and uncover any potential issues.

• Inform team of any follow up tasks required (such as providing contract & supplier data) based on findings in Discovery

5. Integration

• Data extraction from acquisition's systems
• Data mapping
• Data import
• Training on BAU systems
• Customer & Supplier Comms

6. Go-Live & Handover

• Opening Balance Import & Migration email to relevant stakeholders
• Expense and Travel Management Rollout

• Introduction to BAU teams with handover

Technical Skills

• Excellent understanding of T-SQL programming (stored procedures & triggers)
• Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
• Strong understanding of Finance systems and operational processes
• Experience with data migration and new systems setup
• Experience within acquisition integration
• Report writing
• Data extraction
