Senior Desktop Support Analyst - 4 days a week on-site in London

Are you a technical professional with a knack for scripting and automation? Join our dynamic Technology Operations team at a globally recognized financial institution, specializing in quantitative research and technology-driven solutions. We're seeking a Senior Desktop Support Analyst who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment and has a strong command of PowerShell scripting for automating and optimizing IT processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24x5 onsite support and remote assistance to a global user base of 500+ professionals.
  • Participate in on-call weekend rotations to ensure seamless IT operations.
  • Efficiently manage service requests and incidents, adhering to internal protocols and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Level 2/3 internal and external teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Monitor and proactively resolve service alerts using internal tools.
  • Leverage PowerShell scripting to automate repetitive tasks, streamline workflows, and improve efficiency.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic technology solutions.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as required to support the team's mission.

Your Expertise:

  • Advanced proficiency in PowerShell scripting, with a track record of using it to automate tasks, manage systems, and solve complex IT challenges.
  • Proficient in Microsoft ecosystem, including Windows 10, Windows Server 2012+, Office Suite, Office 365, Azure, OneDrive, DLP, and SharePoint.
  • Advanced experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, remote access solutions, and software deployment.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in desktop hardware installation, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Relentless commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience in Python scripting or additional programming languages.
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting and Linux environments.
  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated interest in learning and applying emerging technologies.
