IT System Engineer-Windows Software

I am helping a client who are a leading international fashion company going through a huge digital transofrmation, to source an IT System engineer who can positively contribute to business process design and lead group-wide projects.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintaining, developing, and ensuring the availability of the software distribution system

• Providing 3rd level support for the software landscape, operating systems, and software distribution system

• Creating and updating software packages and operating system images for automated rollout

• Implementing new hardware, including driver management and testing procedures

• Performing patch management, including release and installation in test and production environments

• Managing client security, such as virus protection, firewalls, hard disk encryption, and group policy management

WHAT YOU BRING

• Completed training as an IT specialist for system integration, a comparable qualification, or relevant practical experience through a lateral entry

• Professional experience in administering a software distribution solution (e.g., Empirum, SCCM)

• Strong knowledge of installing, configuring, and securing Microsoft operating systems and related applications, such as Office

• Solid experience in software packaging (e.g., InstallShield, MSI, creating configuration files) is essential

• Experience with software virtualization technologies like App-V/MSIX is a plus

• Independent and service-oriented working style

• Strong technical understanding and enthusiasm for new innovations

• Proficiency in written and spoken German and English
