Our client, a global IT services leader, is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to play a key role in a dynamic team delivering scalable, secure infrastructure for mission-critical environments.
About the Role This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a long-term contract supporting complex, cloud-native infrastructure with a focus on automation, scalability, and high availability. The end customer is a global leader in enterprise software solutions, and this role supports internal teams building and maintaining infrastructure to power next-gen solutions. You’ll be joining a diverse, highly-skilled engineering team focused on building and managing large-scale infrastructure using modern IaC practices. The environment is collaborative, innovative, and fast-moving.

Key Responsibilities
- Build, enhance, and maintain infrastructure automation using Terraform and Ansible
- Design and support secure, scalable cloud-native environments (OpenStack, RHEL/SUSE Linux)
- Contribute to the development and deployment of CI/CD pipelines
- Troubleshoot complex issues, particularly around authentication and system integration
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and architecture teams
- Provide documentation and mentorship to junior engineers
- Work under challenging timelines with a proactive and quality-focused mindset
- 6+ years of hands-on infrastructure engineering experience
- Proven ability to manage ambiguity and adapt in fast-paced environments
- Deep knowledge of Linux systems (RHEL/SUSE), OpenStack, and GitLab
- Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Ansible
- Experience with scripting in Bash or Python
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and lead/mentor within a global team
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
- Knowledge of enterprise software environments, especially SAP
- Experience working in cross-cultural teams
- Familiarity with secure landscape design and implementation
