Our customer is a leading provider of broadband and internet services in Germany. They are currently looking for a Linux Technician to join their team on permanent basis
The role will require business fluency in German and English. The role will be Hybrid and involve working onsite on Kiel/Hamburg several days a month.
Responsibilities:
- You will oversee planning, sizing, and product selection for application environments within the framework of customer projects.
- Centralization: You will integrate systems into central monitoring/logging/metering.
- Support: You will independently search for errors and take care of their resolution, as well as debugging with the manufacturer's 3rd-level support.
- Implementation: As an IT technician, you will develop backup and recovery concepts (i.e., consistent data backup/restoration of files, databases, and configurations of complex application landscapes). You will also develop failover and high-availability concepts.
Your profile:
- You have completed training in the IT field, a technical degree, or similar qualification (also suitable for career changers with personal experience).
- You have several years of experience in server infrastructure, hypervisors, containers, and LINUX/UNIX operating systems and networks.
- As an IT technician, you bring excellent knowledge of operating large UNIX/LINUX farms, including orchestration and automation. Ideally, you have already gained knowledge of database products such as Postgres, MySQL/MariaDB, Oracle, or similar.
